Wedding Wednesdays: June Gloom Solved!

It's June in Los Angeles (and the first day of Summer!) and with that comes the typical June gloom. Mornings are overcast, grey and foggy which leaves us yearning for the sun. And since we are knee deep in events, meaning there is little time in the afternoons to enjoy the sun when it finally makes an appearance, we were inspired to create a little sunshine of our own.  

Lemon and white together bring the brightness of summer to life while feeling cool and refreshed at the same time. We love the cheeriness of yellow blooms in white vases or a strategically placed drop of sunshine on a neutral colored couch.  

Looking forward to the weekend when we can relax and enjoy the real summer sunshine!  Who knows, maybe our front door will get a summer spruce up in a bright shade of citrus; though we'd happily settle for some new summer sheets!

Wedding Wednesday: Wrapped Around Your Finger!

Our clients look to us to help them create highly personalized weddings.  It is our job, and our pleasure, to be creative and provide unique offerings to each and every couple. There is currently a new trend in wedding rings that has emerged and it takes personalization to the next level.  It is so romantic we couldn't wait to share it with you.

Imagine a way to carry the most personal attribute of your fiancée with you at all times - their fingerprint!. Well, now you can do just that!  A number of jewelers are offering custom wedding bands with the fingerprint of your loved one engraved or cast into the ring itself; thus providing a set of wedding bands that are completely unique to each couple and tailored specifically to the couple's tastes.  

While there are several jewelers across the country doing this, here are the two we think do it the best: 

BRENT AND JESS 

Using high-quality, recycled materials and patented process Brent and Jess are able to capture every ridge detail and valley of you and your partner's finger.  Each ring is available in sterling silver, gold, palladium and platinum.  You can choose to have your fingerprint imprinted on the outside of the band like you "touched" the ring with your fingertip or you can choose a wrap print which takes the print all the way around the ring. The wrap print can be done on the inside or the outside of the band.  

ANDREW ENGLISH 

Each ring is handmade and delicately hand engraved with your partner's fingerprints.  Due to the hand engraved nature of this style, the fingerprints are not exact but a close replica.  Rings are available in 9, 14, and 18 karat white, yellow, rose gold or platinum.  There are a number of styles to choose from with the fingerprint hand-engraved on either the inside or the outside of the band.  

This gives a whole new meaning to "wrapped around your finger!"

Summer has arrived! It's finally June and "wedding season" is in full swing.  We have a jam-packed month full of events, tastings and travel.  We will be partying in Beverly Hills and traveling to New York, spending time with friends "al fresco" and savoring Summer's offerings from our local farmer's market.  Here are a few things that are inspiring us this month:

Wedding Wednesdays: Something Blue

If you have a bit of Summer Fever, like we do after the long holiday weekend, and need a little something to combat the office blues, we have a present for you; the Oscar De La Renta 2013 Bridal Collection. Wedding Wednesdays: Early Summer Inspirations

Just this past week in Los Angeles, we have gotten a hint of Summer in the weather.  The days have been borderline hot and the nights cool but no longer cold.  It's supposed to get cooler this weekend but getting that small hint of summertime has left us dreaming of vacations by the ocean and pastel colored EVERYTHING!

Aqua is one of those colors that seems to pop up when the weather gets warmer. It's sunny and bright and yet leaves us feeling cool and fresh at the same time.  Pair this color with a tinge of spring green and you capture the fleeting transition from warm Spring to hot Summer.
