Wednesday Weddings: Color Palette

Weather we have to thank the fashion industry’s return to elegance or a public, on-air wedding (for a short lived marriage), we are embracing and loving the black and white color palette as a large wedding trend for 2012. Previously saved for very formal weddings, couples are now using black and white in unique, modern and playful ways. 

While a black and white color scheme is relatively simple to implement, it requires a delicate balance so that one color does not overpower the other. Incorporating textures and patterns in the linens can help create individuality and balance. Or add dimension to the scheme by adding in tints of grey or silver

Incorporate black and white in your bridal party while eschewing a black tie required dress code.

Bouquets can be the trickiest part of a black and white wedding. You could go with all white florals but most brides are looking for something more extraordinary. Utilizing florals and jewels to create contrasting bouquets can create a brilliant bouquet that is timeless and personal.
